Making Progress

We’ve had a really busy week. The summer sale is going well having sold three pieces in one day whilst gaining interest in others. If there’s a particular item your thinking you would like please let us know to save disappointment. We have some more items that are in the pipeline that will be on the web site very soon.

Our van design came through, with a view to painting it next week. We love it. Have a look on our Facebook page and let us know your thoughts.

We are also in the process of clearing out our workshop so we can give it an overhaul and have sold 14 chairs so far to people who want to do their own projects giving us much needed space.

Finally, another successful private commission was carried out yesterday, turning an old orange pine dining table into a rustic masterpiece, using Annie Sloan ‘Duck Egg Blue’ with a covering of light and dark wax.

Summer Sale

As you can see if you are a follower of our Facebook page, we have had a little Cornish break this weekend, gadding about trying out some local eateries. This is because we are just about to enter the mad season with our gorgeous quaint holiday cottage. We don’t have any free weeks now until September.  If you are interested in an Autumn holiday have a look on:

The lovely weather and the fact that we are now in a position to revamp our workshop inspired us to have a summer sale and offer 20% off as we need some space to clear our workshop and upgrade our premises. I hope you get a chance to take this opportunity to get a bargain. We are also going to be putting some items that could be a project to do up yourselves on eBay. Every time we do this we will put a link from eBay to our Twitter and Facebook page, so if you follow or like us you will see what we are putting on. Exciting times ahead!

Our own van.

We are very excited this week, we have now purchased our very own van. This will open up a whole new world for us. As soon as it has it’s new livery I shall post a photo.

Our First. Commission

We recently got the chance to paint a clients furniture in her own home. She had a beautiful heavy wooden bed and triple wardrobe. Great furniture, but it was orange varnished pine and she wanted a lighter look.

After fixing broken hinges and making good, we used Annie Sloan’s ‘Old White’ with light and dark wax and a bit of distressing. We even painted her wall lights, adding some ‘Emile’ to the flowers. It looked stunning.

Painted Bed

The whole process was such a success that we will be adding details of the work to a new page on the web site soon.

If you would like your furniture painted by us, get and in touch to discuss and we will be pleased to provide you with a quote.
